A. Information You Provide to Us
- Scanned Documents: To use the core functionality of the app, you will need to grant access to your device’s camera or photo library. The images of receipts or documents you scan are processed to extract data. This data is stored locally on your device.
- Google Account Information: You may choose to sign in with your Google account. In this case, we receive your name and email address from Google to create and manage your account, and to enable features like Google Drive backup.
B. Information Collected Automatically
- Analytics Data: To improve our application and user experience, we use Firebase Analytics. This service may collect anonymous technical data, such as device type and operating system, and identifiers like the Advertising ID (AD ID). We use this data solely for internal analytics. - Crash Reporting: We use Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix bugs. This service collects information about crashes, including device state, but does not collect personal information.
3. Document Processing with AI
"Receipt Scanner" uses Google's Gemini AI to perform Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and extract structured data from the documents you scan.
Important:- Images of your receipts and documents are sent securely to Google Cloud servers for processing by the Gemini AI model.
- Google processes this data in accordance with its privacy policy, which you can review here: Google's Privacy Policy.
- We do not use your documents to train or improve AI models.
- The extracted data is returned to your device and stored locally.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide Core Services: To allow you to scan documents, extract data, and store it on your device.
- Manage Your Account: To authenticate you and provide access to your data if you sign in with Google.
- Enable Optional Features: To offer services like backing up your data to your personal Google Drive.
- Process Transactions: To handle in-app purchases through the Google Play or Apple App Store.
- Improve Our App: To understand how users interact with our app, fix bugs, and develop new features.
5. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We only share your information with third-party services in the following circumstances to provide and improve the app's functionality:

Your scanned documents and extracted data are stored locally in a secure database on your device. If you choose to use the backup feature, your data is transferred securely using TLS encryption to your personal Google Drive account. We do not store your data on our own servers.
Data is retained as long as the app is installed on your device. You can delete your data by uninstalling the application or clearing the application's data. If you use the Google Drive backup feature, you are responsible for managing the data stored in your own Drive account.
7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
You have the following rights and choices regarding your information:
- Access and Export: You can access your data within the app and export it using the share or backup features.
- Deletion: You can delete individual documents within the app at any time. To delete all data, you can clear the app's data in your device settings or uninstall the app.
- Analytics Opt-Out: You can control the use of your device’s Advertising ID in your device settings to limit ad tracking.
- Third-Party Connections: You can disconnect your Google account from within the app or revoke access via your Google account settings at any time.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy within the app. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
